John Kerry Recruits Leonardo DiCaprio and Bill Clinton for New Climate Coalition

John Kerry, former Secretary of State recently introduced the “World War Zero,” a star-studded coalition of Hollywood figures and former heads of state committed to advocating for climate change solutions.

The organization’s site claims their main goal includes mobilizing resources to deal with global warming in a way that is akin to the Western allies in WWII.

According to The NY Times, John Kerry, who served as a Massachusetts senator from 1985 - 2013, recruited former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and former Rep. governors Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Kasich. A-listers like actors Ashton Kutcher and Leonardo DiCaprio, and rocker Sting also are on board. More than sixty figures are stated to have signed up for the coalition.

According to Kerry, they are going to attempt to reach millions, Americans and those in other areas of the world, to mobilize a plethora of people going to now demand action on climate change enough to meet the challenge.

John has been a critic of the Trump administration’s environmental policies, referring to them as ‘profoundly harmful’ for the earth, and repeatedly has criticized Trump’s removal of the United States from the 2016 Paris Agreement.

Future gens will measure us by whether we took action on facts, and not just denied or debated them. The verdicts hang on whether we put into action policies which will drive the deployment and development of clean technologies, re-energize the economies, and deal with global climate change, the Obama-age official wrote within an opinion-editorial for the New York Times in 2018.

Kerry, last November, told The Guardian that “folks are going to die” with the United States no longer a part of the Paris agreement. Kerry said his kids and grandkids will face a challenging world because of what Trump has done.
