Who Were the Most Admired Women in 2019?

Michelle Obama, former First Lady, is 2019’s most admired woman, followed by others, which includes Greta Thunberg, teenage climate activist, who made Gallup’s top 10 list.

Obama maintained Michelle’s title as the most admired woman for the 2nd year in a row, with 10% of people in America selecting the previous first lady. That’s down 5% from 2018, when Michelle saw 15% support.

Melania Trump, First Lady, came in 2nd place with 5% picking her as the most admired woman. Greta Thunberg, Hillary Clinton, and Oprah Winfrey followed with 3% support each.

Queen Elizabeth II, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former United States Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rounded out the top 10 list.

The biggest Gallup survey’s takeaway is, arguably, Trump’s tie with previous President Obama as 2019’s most admired man. They tied with 18% support — Trump’s highest percentage within recent years. Trump garnered 13% in 2018 and 14% in 2017. Barack Obama saw 19% support in 2018 and 17% support in 2017.

The poll, taken Dec. 2 through 15, 2019 among 1,025 participants, additionally showed Rep. Adam Schiff, Elon Musk, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Pope Francis making the top 10 list.

According to the Gallup poll, President Trump is ‘more popular right now than he was in the last 2 years, with a 45 percent approval rating, among his best as president.’

President Trump’s approval rating soared past that of former President Obama’s during the same time in his administration, and defied negative stereotypes that were driven by opponents when he became only the 3rd president in United States history to be impeached.

About 151 weeks into his presidency, Donald Trump’s approval rating sits at 45%, according to last Wednesday’s Gallup poll. This places Trump 3 points higher than the 42% approval rating that Gallup revealed for Obama during the same time in his presidency.

Around 151 weeks into their administrations, Gallup’s poll reported a similar disapproval rating for both presidents. Approximately 51% of voters stated they disapprove of the current president’s performance within a Gallup poll performed on December 2 through 15, as compared to 50% of voters reporting they disapproved of the former president’s performance in a December 12 through 18 Gallup poll conducted in 2011.

Trump’s job approval rating climbed 6 percentage points since Nancy Pelosi opened an inquiry of impeachment against him last September.

Last Wednesday, House Dems subsequently voted to impeach Trump after the House passed article 1 of H.R. 755, charging Trump with abusing the office of presidency.

The House now has passed articles of impeachment, and the Senate is set to convene a trial to decide if Trump ought to be removed from office.

This trial is expected sometime within the New Year though House Speaker Pelosi has yet to provide any confirmation of the precise timing.

The bishops added on Twitter that he cancelled Netflix and that he hardly has time to view it anyway, yet blasphemers do not deserve a dime of our support!

However, the lingering question is whether they’ll be joined up by additional Trump district Dems, and if the answer is yes, how many are going to join them. No additional moderate Dems publicly have stated their intentions to oppose the impeachment vote on the House floor; however, Politico reported recently that a circle of 10 - 12 of them are putting together a strategy that censures Trump rather than impeaching him—an alternative choice that they hope is going to make them appear more reasonable than the forces driving their party towards a partisan impeachment vote.

Trump Beating 2020 Dems in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan

President Trump is currently leading Democrat candidates in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, as Congressional Dems continuously struggle to impeach the president.

In December, an Optimus/Firehouse poll showed Trump ahead of his opponents, even previous VP Joe Biden who remains among the more solid candidates opposing Trump.

Biden is 5 points below the president in Pennsylvania and Michigan and 9 points below the president in Wisconsin.

Previous Firehouse Strategies polls showed Joe Biden evenly competing with Trump in states such as Michigan or beating him within the states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Biden, in Wisconsin, went from a twelve-point lead of Trump in March to 9 points below Trump in December.

The president has stronger or similar leads over Dem candidates Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Newcomer candidate previous NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg additionally loses big against Trump, according to the poll.

Which Dems Are Leading the Presidential Race?

1.     J. Biden
2.     E. Warren
3.     B. Sanders
4.     P. Buttigieg
5.     A. Yang
6.     A. Klobuchar
7.     C. Booker
8.     T. Gabbard
9.     T. Steyer
10. J. Castro

Here is the most recent

At the national level, the Dem nomination race never has been more stable than it has been over the last couple of weeks. Now, there are candidates slotted into 1st through 4th place, and none of them have meaningfully shifted in the polling average since October. The last substantial change came as Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg both picked up some points, apparently at the cost of Warren. It left Biden in his longstanding role as a resilient, vulnerable and unmoving front-runner.

(K. Harris, who’d fallen out of the top level of candidates and was polling within the low single digits, quit her campaign on December 3rd.)

Right now, some of the reason for the fairly static nature of the top level might be the media’s overwhelming concentration on the House’s impeachment inquiry into Trump, which consumed political oxygen that candidates might’ve otherwise utilized to challenge each other and shake the race up.

Recently, there has been more movement within the early caucus and primary states, with Buttigieg surging inside Iowa and overtaking Warren within the most authoritative poll there. Thus far, Buttigieg has only risen by more incremental margins outside of Iowa, and his road to the nomination seems to rely upon a standout performance there which transforms the national dynamics of the presidential race. However, even Buttigieg’s localized strength already is complicating the presidential race.

There are reasons to think that the race might go through more pronounced changes soon. Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar, two underdog candidates, had solid debate performances on November 20th in Atlanta, and they’ll be translating that into momentum within Iowa. And Deval Patrick and Michael R. Bloomberg both could shake up the presidential campaign.

John Kerry Recruits Leonardo DiCaprio and Bill Clinton for New Climate Coalition

John Kerry, former Secretary of State recently introduced the “World War Zero,” a star-studded coalition of Hollywood figures and former heads of state committed to advocating for climate change solutions.

The organization’s site claims their main goal includes mobilizing resources to deal with global warming in a way that is akin to the Western allies in WWII.

According to The NY Times, John Kerry, who served as a Massachusetts senator from 1985 - 2013, recruited former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and former Rep. governors Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Kasich. A-listers like actors Ashton Kutcher and Leonardo DiCaprio, and rocker Sting also are on board. More than sixty figures are stated to have signed up for the coalition.

According to Kerry, they are going to attempt to reach millions, Americans and those in other areas of the world, to mobilize a plethora of people going to now demand action on climate change enough to meet the challenge.

John has been a critic of the Trump administration’s environmental policies, referring to them as ‘profoundly harmful’ for the earth, and repeatedly has criticized Trump’s removal of the United States from the 2016 Paris Agreement.

Future gens will measure us by whether we took action on facts, and not just denied or debated them. The verdicts hang on whether we put into action policies which will drive the deployment and development of clean technologies, re-energize the economies, and deal with global climate change, the Obama-age official wrote within an opinion-editorial for the New York Times in 2018.

Kerry, last November, told The Guardian that “folks are going to die” with the United States no longer a part of the Paris agreement. Kerry said his kids and grandkids will face a challenging world because of what Trump has done.
